Kinuko Y Craft Fairy Tales Illustrations Review 5 Stars Worthy

Kinuko Y. Craft is a Japanese born artist. She does illustrations for plays and fantasy wallpapers. She also likes to illustrate fairy tale books. She has won many awards for her artwork. This first review focuses on her fairy tale artworks... for the most part. I hope you like them a lot. They are all 5 stars worthy. If you wish to see more, go to kycraft.com . That is her home website. Anyhow, the first illustration shows Sleeping Beauty. All around her we see flowers growing. She has been asleep for a pretty long time. The organic looking flowers were made art nouveau. This pretty picture deserves 5 stars rating.

This illustration is a fantasy version of the Adam and Eve story. Here Eve is getting the red apple. In the background, the devil in the form of a dragon is watching over her. Her dress is extremely elaborated. The entire nature is painted art nouvueau style. As for her hair, it was painted in the fashion of Botticelli. Truly, this lovely illustration has earned Craft 5 stars rating.

Above, we see a lovely illustration for the Dallas Opera. This one features Das Rheingold. It is one of Wagner's infamous Operas. Anyhow, the illustration shows the moment when the dwarf met the daughters of Rhine. They all look very beautiful. It is a pity that the dwarf abandon his girl for some gold. In any case, this lovely illustration by Kinuko Y. Craft deserves 5 stars rating.

This illustration is for another one of Wagner's plays. In the background, we see the Valkyrie. She is about to take the dead soldier in the foreground to Valhalla. His lover girl is hugging him. The scenery is really pretty. Behind the Valkyrie we see the rainbow bridge to Valhalla. More of her peers are flying about. This Norman mythological illustration by Craft deserves 5 stars rating.

In this illustration, we see Cinderella arriving to the ball. Her golden dress is really pretty. Behind her, we see her rats and the magical pumpkin carriage. It is cute how she is looking at her glass shoe. This beautiful depiction of the Cinderella tale deserves 5 stars rating.

In the original Sleeping Beauty tale, the girl was given a rose to mark out her timeline. When the stem is completely consumed, then the fairy's curse will come to fruition. In this illustration, the oblivious sleeping beauty is giving her rose to her father. He is stroking her hair. He sees the length of the rose's stem and knows that her time is almost out. In any case, this lovely illustration by Craft deserves 5 stars rating.

Above, we see the Sleeping Beauty dreaming. Over her, we see faeries showering her with gifts. In the foreground, we see a tiny dogie and another fairy playing the harp. This lovely illustration by Craft deserves 5 stars rating.

In this illustration, we see the ice witch from Narnia. I think I half remember it from an old as sin animated movie of the book. If I remember correctly, the witch had kidnapped that boy. In any case, the imagery is very beautiful. Truly, it deserves 5 stars ratings.

This illustration was featured in the Spectrum magazine. It shows a magician working old nature magic. Animals are gathering around him. His magic is not only affecting nature, but the universe as well. This pretty illustration deserves 5 stars rating.

This illustration shows Sleeping Beauty with the string and needles. She is about to prick her finger. In the background, we see the curse about to come to fruition. The girl does look really pretty. This fairy tale illustration by Craft deserves 5 stars rating.

In this illustration, we see Sleeping Beauty resting. Her blonde hair is very pretty. This pretty little number deserves 5 stars rating.

This is the other half of the old magic Illustration. It shows the magician's daughter. She is working her own magic. I find very cool the master of the universe in the background. The mask she wears is also very pretty. This lovely fantasy illustration by Kinuko Y. Craft deserves 5 stars rating.

In this illustration, we see a lovely crossover. The frog prince ran into the Sleeping Beauty dreaming in the forest. He is admiring the lady. Her rose dress is very pretty. She deserves 5 stars rating.

In this illustration, the forgotten fairy is cursing Sleeping Beauty. Her family is sobbing over her. They all look very miserable. What I like best is the flowery pattern on the carpet. Overall, this illustration is 5 stars worthy.

In this illustration, we see Medusa. Her hair is made of lovely decorative snakes. It is a bummer how she is trying to braid her hair. She is trying to make the best of her new hair. Her eyes are also very freaky. This illustration by Craft deserves 5 stars rating.

This last featured Illustration shows the prince arriving at Sleeping Beauty's castle. He is seeing everyone asleep among the flowers. He looks quite mystified by the entire scenery. This is the second Craft illustrations review. I do not know most of the titles of these pieces. So please, bear with me. The first illustration shows a maiden looking at a castle. She also has a little bird perched in her had. She came out looking rather pretty. Kinuko Y.Craft deserves 5 stars rating.

In this illustration, we see a maiden playing the flute. She is walking on the water. This illustration is called Eclipse. The moon does seem to be eclipsed by the mysterious girl playing music. In any case, this lovely illustration deserves 5 stars rating.

This is a pretty odd disguise. A monster disguise as a human. The moral lesson of this illustration is that you should not take candy from strangers. In any case, this cutie by Craft deserves 5 stars rating.

In this illustration,  we see a guy taking photographs of this wonderful city. The scenery truly is amassing. What I like best is the force field in the sky. It has some lovely patterns here and there. This fantasy scenery deserves 5 stars rating.

This illustration shows Jason beating up the chimera. He is using the Medusa shield to deflect the lightning of the Chimera. His Pegasus came out looking pretty cool. This mythological scene by Craft deserves 5 stars rating.

Here is a pretty cute illustration. In the foreground, we see a cute red headed maiden. The odd clouds in the background are pretty cute. This Craft fantasy wallpaper deserves 5 stars rating.

This post shows the prince and the princess together. The maiden's yellow dress came out extremely pretty. The German shepherd makes for a lovely detail. 5 stars for Kinuko Y. Craft.

Pierre Auguste Cot 1837 - 1883 French Painter Review 5 Stars

Today, I wanted to review three lovely paintings by Pierre Augueste Cot. He was a French Academic painter. He made his fame in the French Salon. He married the daughter of his sponsor. He won many medals and prizes in the Salon. Since he married into a rich family, Cot did not die poor. Anyhow, the first painting is called The Storm. Here a cute Greek couples is trying to escape from the storm. The girl is looking at the Storm. Her lover is focused on his girl. Her frilly transparent dress is extremely pretty. The creepy background works pretty well. This lovely classical painting deserves 5 stars rating.

In this cute painting, we see an adorable girl hiding in the Curtains. She is only clothed by this shimmering white curtain. Judging by her coy smile, she came here to surprise her lover boy. Most maidens do love to give such silly surprises. Her curly brown hair is very pretty. This cute painting by Pierre Auguste Cot painting gets a lovely 5 stars rating.

In this last cute painting, we see a cute Greek couple having a moment. Both are playing in the swing while staring into each other's eyes. This painting represents Spring. Auguste  Toulmouche (1829 - 1890) French Academic Painter Review 

Today, I wanted to review the artwork of the French painter, Auguste Toulmouche. He mostly did portraits of Parisian ladies. He gave a lot of emphasis to their dresses. He painted in the style of realism. However, unlike realistic the artists, he did not care about changing society. He kept the painting style, but through the socialism out the window. His work was greatly praised by Emile Zola. He was knighted in the Legion of Honor for his artwork.




The first painting shows a cute maiden doing nothing. The painting is about upper middle class leisure. The maiden is so lazy that she cannot work up the energy to read her book. For now, her lazy attention has been drawn by the viewer. She is looking at us with disdain. Anyhow, this maiden is there simply for aesthetic reasons. Her white dress is very elaborated. The dark background enhances the colors of her white dress. In any case, this cutie by Augueste Toulmouche deserves 5 stars rating.

In this painting, we see two maidens dressed in black. Someone in their family has died. The younger girl is consoling her mother. Though the theme is pretty depressing, the maidens are there for decorative purposes. This painting does a lot more emphasis their rich furniture. They may have a lot of nice things, however, their material possessions does nothing to make them feel better. This painting also shows the funeral fashion of the day. In any case, this lovely painting by Toulmouche deserves 5 stars rating.

During this time period, everyone started making kissing paintings. This is Toulmouche's "The Kiss". The main couple belong to the circus. The guy is Pierre, the juggler. Based on the maiden's dress, she probably does the balance rope. Both their dresses are elaborate and lively. Judging by the drink, this couple is celebrating their love. The restaurant scenery too is elaborated. This cute painting by Auguste Toulmouche deserves 5 stars rating.

This new painting is about the new baby. The mother is showing her daughter her baby brother. The curtain of the baby is very petty. This sweet painting by Toulmouche deserves 5 stars rating.

In this cute painting, we see a girl in a wedding dress. The girl does not want to get married. Just look at her evil glare. She must hate the guts of her groom. This is one of the many tragedies of arranged marriages. It usually happens that the maidens are forced into marriage. To ease her burden, her mother and her sister are trying to console her. On the background, we see the bride's younger sister. She is playing with her crown of flowers. Aside from the theme, we look at the lovely wedding fashion. The scenery too is pretty elaborated. Throughout history, all cute girls have at least once kissed their own reflection. Considering how cute she came out in her dress, she really has a lot to celebrate. Fernando Botero Colombian Modern Day Painter 5 Stars

Today, I wanted to review some cute paintings by Fernando Botero. Botero is one of the oldest, active painters alive. Even today, he is producing new art pieces. His last series of paintings featured the prisoners of Guantanamo Bay. He was critiquing the inhumane treatment of prisoners. Anyhow, Botero is known for his unique figurative style. His style is so unique that it is called "Boterismo". He is so proud of his style that he likes to call himself, "The most Colombian of Colombian artists". His last exhibition took place in Kunstforum, Vienna. I think that is enough bio info on Botero. Now, I will review his fat people paintings.




The first painting worth reviewing is called Dancers. Botero has made several paintings targeting the same subject matter. Anyhow, this painting is about the intimacy of dancing. The guy is so focused on his dance that he does not notice the cigars and the beer bottle on the floor. Both dancers are having their own private moment. The scenery in the background too goes with the moment. The red dress of the maiden stands for passion. In any case, this lovely painting by Botero deserves 5 stars rating.

This painting shows some Bishops Bathing. Apparently, this is a genre painting. The style of this painting is naive art. It is supposed to look very sweet and innocent. The way the Bishops are playing do look innocent. The issue with this painting is that the Bishops look ridiculous. You never imagine seeing Bishops playing like that in the water. I guess even Bishops like to relax from time to time. It is cute how the one with the blue gown is blessing the water. Behind him, we see one of his acolytes. In any case, this cute painting by Botero deserves 5 stars rating.

In this painting, Botero is showing a Car Bomb. Like we all know, Colombia has been in a civil war for a really long time. This painting was made because there was a Car Bombing attack by the rebels. The painting focuses on the car and the destruction it laid in its wake. It is interesting how the car looks "fat". Everything is painted in Botero's unique style. In the background, the only building left standing is a Catholic Church Bell Tower. Its arc stands ominously over the city. Soon, its bells will be tolling over the victims of this disaster. In any case, this depressing painting by Botero deserves 5 stars rating.

This painting shows a portrait of all the members of the circus. The scenery is indoors. I find cute the dwarf couple in the foreground. In any case, this cute genre painting by Botero deserves 5 stars.

Above, we see another dancing painting. The couple's poses are very similar to the first painting I reviewed. In this painting, we see another feet of a dancer. It shows you that there are other people dancing. The watch shows you how long they have been dancing. It also alludes to the passage of time. For the dancers, time has stood still for them. In any case, this cute painting by Botero deserves 5 stars rating.

This cute painting shows a dancer. It is a bummer how the beam is holding her up. The dancing pose shows that she is very flexible. Not many dancers can raise their legs up so high. Her serious face shows how focus she is in her art. This cutie by Botero deserves 5 stars rating.

This painting shows the death of Pablo Escobar. Pablo Escobar was a famous gangster. As such, he died a very violent death. This painting shows his infamous death. He has his gun raised up. He died in the midst of battle. The scenery shows how this figure towered over everyone. Despite his power and influence, he could not escape his death. In any case, this cool painting by Botero deserves 5 stars rating.

In this cute painting, we see a flamenco dancer. Behind her, we see the rest of the ensemble. On the background, we see a guy leaving with his lover girl. It is implied that they are going to sleep together. In any case, this lovely painting by Fernando Botero deserves 5 stars rating.

In this painting, we see a Matador. He looks very serious. He is about to enter the arena to fight the bull. I think it is sad that so many bulls have to suffer and die to make this sport possible. However, visually speaking I find bull fighting pretty cool. What I liked is the dress of this matador. It has a lot of lovely ornaments. This painting is very simple. A woman has fallen off the balcony. Her face looks panicked as she sees the floor approaching. A guy about to exit the house is looking at her fall. Judging by her dress, she is a streetwalker. In any case, this cute painting by Botero deserves 5 stars rating.

This painting shows a newborn nun. She was born with her habit and everything. She really does look pious. She is resting inside a newborn baby basket. It happens often enough that girls are abandon in nunneries, in poor Catholic countries. The church always takes care of them. This painting also shows the absurd idea that some women are born to be nuns. As such, he illustrated a girl who was born to be a nun. In any case, this cute painting by Botero deserves 5 stars rating.

In this cute painting, we see Botero dressed like a Matador. He wanted to show that he was manliness among men. In the Hispanic world, Matadors are the epitome of manliness. In this cute painting, we see an art collector. In the background, we see a lot of well know paintings made to match Botero's style. They are all pretty unique. As for the collector, she is a humble Catholic widow. You can tell based on her dress and her cross. However, the fact that she can buy so many paintings shows that she is filthy rich. In any case, this lovely Botero painting deserves 5 stars rating.

Above, we see another dancing couple. Around them, we see two more dancers. It is pretty odd how they do not seem to have a reflection. 5 stars for Botero.

In this lovely painting, we see a Matador getting impaled by a bull. He died instantly when the horns pierced him. Behind his cape you can see his soul rising to the heavens. Heaven is greeting him with open arms. This lovely painting by Botero deserves 5 stars rating.

In this painting, we see a group of women sewing. They are the designers of this dress shop. What I liked best is the odd fat cat glaring at us. Cats are freaky little animals. 5 stars.

In this cool painting, we see the entire family. In a tree, we see a snake. It is about to bite the mother. What I find odd is the huge dog behind the boy. In any case, this lovely painting by Fernando Botero deserves 5 stars rating.

In this lovely painting, we see a bunch of musicians. They all look pretty cool. I find very odd the bird on the floor. The oranges on the floor are also pretty odd. 5 stars for Botero.

In this painting, we see a matador delivering the final blow. Behind him, we see other people taunting the bull. Behind him, we see a girl admiring the bull fighters. She is really enjoying the show. The arena is also pretty big. This cool painting by Botero deserves 5 stars rating.

In this painting, we see a parody of this famous Renaissance painting. The profile of came out looking really fat. 5 stars for Botero.

This painting shows the gates of heavens. On the top, we see the Virgin Mary with Baby Jesus. She is stepping over the head of the snake. Bellow her, to the left, we see Mother Teresa. Parallel to her, we see a Conquistador. All around, we see spirits going toward the heavens. This cute painting deserves 5 stars rating.

This painting goes with the Gates of Heaven. It shows a stark contrast with those gates. All the figures are going to hell. The corner images are Pestilence and Old Age. In the center, we see Sin. It is cute how the grave she is standing over has Hitler inside. This creepy hell scene by Botero deserves 5 stars rating.

This painting focuses on the Head of Christ. He is showing the viewer all of his wounds. Even today, he is suffering for our sins. This Botero painting deserves 5 stars rating.

In this cute painting, we see a parody of a Maria Antoinette painting. She is playing around in her garden. Her Botero version is pretty silly. 5 stars worthy.

This Menina parody focuses on the princess. Needless to say, she is not a Menina or a lady in waiting. In any case, the princess chubby form came out very cute. It deserves 5 stars rating.

In this painting, we see the Mona Lisa painted in Botero style. She looks just like the original...more or less. Truly, this work of art looks very silly painted in this style. She deserves 5 stars rating.

In this painting, we see a still life of oranges. The oranges are painted Botero style. It is a bummer how you make oranges look fat. The way they are arranged is very similar to the still life paintings of Paul Cezanne. This little number deserves 5 stars rating.

This cute painting shows a parody of Van Gogh's sunflowers. Somehow, Botero managed to make the flowers look fat. It is a real bummer about a lot of things. In any case, this lovely painting by Botero deserves 5 stars rating.

This is an updated version of the Via Crusis. Via Crusis means the road of the cross. It is the section of the passion's story that focuses on Jesus carrying his cross. Behind him, a Colombian government official is whipping him. Behind that official, we see an open door. A Colombian lady is crying because she feels bad for Jesus. In any case, this lovely painting deserves 5 stars rating.

William Blake British Romanticism 1757-1827 Paintings Review

William Blake was a famous painter and poet... He become famous very late in his life. Most of the time, his artwork was ignored. He was a proponent of the Romanticism ideals. He was disenchanted with the Enlightenment Era. He thought that science took away from the world its magic and its spirit. As such, he painted works with a Romantic sentiment. For him, God was human's creative spirit.





He truly did embody the Romantic spirit. He died while working on his Dante's Inferno illustrations series. His last piece of work was a portrait of his wife. He wanted to immortalize her because she had been an angel to him in his final moments. He died when he finished the portrait of his wife. The pity is that since he hated materialism he died poor.

The first piece is a sketch for one of Blake's poetry books. He used to accompany his work with his poems. Anyhow, this illustration shows a pure man trying to run away from us. Our impurity frightens him, therefore he flees. The way he is drawn is very expressionistic. It convey a very dark mood. In any case, this lovely illustration deserves 5 stars rating.

In this painting, we see William Blake's interpretation of the creation of Adam. Judging by the name he gave God, he must have been familiar with Jewish Kabbalist terminologies. It is interesting that even while Adam was being created, sin was coiling around him. As he is now, Adam is an empty shell of a man. In any case, this lovely illustration deserves 5 stars rating.

In this illustration, Christ has just risen to heaven. He is stretching his arms out as if he was still crucified. God, the Father, is hugging his returning son. The angels celebrate his arrival. This lovely William Blake illustration deserves 5 stars rating.

In this painting, we see the angels going up Jacob's Ladder. In the floor, we see Jacob having his mysterious dream. The entire scenery is really pretty. This lovely illustration based on the book of Genesis deserves 5 stars rating.

Above, we see a very elaborate vision of the Last Judgement. In the heavens, we see Jesus judging everyone. On the ground, we see people going to hell. Jesus is deciding who goes up or who goes down. This romanticism illustrations by Blake deserves 5 stars rating.

In this painting, we see God parting the darkness. At first, there was darkness. Then, he said, "Let there be light". As such, God appears over the heavens as the sun. You can also look at this painting in the Kabbalist sense. The main Sefirot, Keter is splitting into Hokman and Binah. From the Crown, Wisdom and Understanding enters the world. Truly, this illustration by William Blake deserves 5 stars rating.

This painting was an illustration made for Paradise Lost. In this scene, Jesus is casting off the rebel angels. They were in the midst of fighting the good angels. Jesus came out looking pretty cool. Truly, this illustration is 5 stars worthy.

In this painting, we see the ghost of a flea. It is a real bummer what possessed William Blake to paint such a thing. The scene is pretty odd. Here, we have a ghost flee dancing. One never imagines themselves being hunted by a ghost flea. Anyhow, this odd thing deserves 5 stars rating.

In this painting, we see a bunch of dead people. Hovering over them is Time. No one can escape his influence. Beside him, we see a very depressed man. He has a knife in his hand. This shows that he is Blake's grim reaper. As such, he is looking very grim in the face of death. Anyhow, this illustration deserves 5 stars rating.

This painting we see this infamous parable. The wise Virgins waited prepared for their grooms and were rewarded. The unwise were excluded from the marriage feast for not being prepared. This parable stands for Judgement Day. You must always be prepared for Judgment Day. It may come in any second. Above the maidens, we see an angel playing a trumpet. In any case, this William Blake painting deserves 5 stars rating.

Above, we see the last Blake painting. This shows a scene from the Apocalypse. Here, the seven headed dragon is attacking the maiden cloaked with stars. Both do look very creepy. In any case, this lovely painting deserves 5 stars rating. I hope that you liked this William Blake review.

Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres 1780-1867 Neoclassical French Painter 5 Stars

Today, I wanted to review some lovely paintings by Ingres. Ingres was a French Neoclassical painter. He was mostly known for his historical paintings. However, the thing that made him really famous in his prosperity where his portraits. Art historian believed that his portraits were his best works. Anyhow, since he was an academic painter, he hated Romanticism. He did not get along with Delacroix. Also, since he was an orthodox painter he made a lot of money. He died filthy rich at the age of 82. He lived a good life, that is for certain.





Now, let us review Ingres paintings. In this painting, we see the Death of Da Vinci. His family and friends are seeing him. Even the king is weeping over the death of Da Vinci. It is a really depressing scenery. We all weep for the death of a genius. This lovely historical paining by Ingres deserves 5 stars rating.

In this painting, we see Francesca and Paolo. Both were caught red handed while cheating. Francesca's husband is about to kill both of them. He is in the middle of releasing his sword. This tragic romance deserves 5 stars rating.

In this painting, we see a cute portrait of a Countess. She is wearing a blue dress. Based on her pose, Ingres implies that she is a smart maiden. The reflection in the mirror works pretty well. In any case, this lovely portrait by Ingres deserves 5 stars rating.

In this painting, we see Napoleon sitting on his throne. Since this is a royal commissioned, Ingres did much to aggrandize his figure. The carpet has the eagle, the symbol of Zeus. In one hand, he has the staff of power and religion. Together, it shows that it was God's will for Napoleon to become emperor. His laurel crown alludes to the Roman Empire. The odd black specks in his cloak is the symbol of his household. This portrait by Ingres deserves 5 stars rating.

In this painting, we see a self portrait of Ingres. This was an early portrait. Here Ingres painted himself sketching. He has the air of a serious young man. This cute painting of Ingres deserves 5 stars rating.

In this painting, we see the Saint about to be beheaded. He was punished for refusing to adore the Goddess Cybele. He even went as far as to ask for tools to destroy the statue. In any case, an angry mob is there to slay him. Above the wall, his mother is crying over him. This depressing religious painting by Ingres deserves 5 stars rating.

This painting focuses on a pretty moor lady. This type of reclining figure was pretty popular among academic painters. Titian made such figures pretty famous. Drawing inspiration from Titian, here we have this lady. She is listening to the music being played by her slave. The moor scenery is pretty neat. In any case, this lovely painting by Ingres deserves 5 stars rating.

In this painting, the African Knight Roger is rescuing Angelica. Angelica was offered up as a sacrifice to a dragon. To keep her safe during the battle, Roger gave her a ring of invisibility. On the meantime, he is busy killing the dragon while ridding his Griffin. This cool painting about the Epic Poem Orlando Furioso deserves 5 stars rating.

Ossian is the main character of a series of epic poems. In this scene, the bard is dreaming. He is seeing all the ghosts of all the fallen heroes. The scenery is pretty odd and creepy. This painting by Ingres deserves 5 stars rating.

In this painting, we see Ingres' famous Odalisque. She is looking back at the viewer while playing with her fan. She stands for what Ingres considers ideal beauty. The entire light falls on this maiden. This lovely painting by Ingres deserves 5 stars rating.

In this painting, we see the source of the water. From this maiden sprouts and entire river. Her pose is very pretty. She also appears to be standing on water. A lot of fountains feature maidens with basins. As such, here we have this cutie. Truly, she deserves 5 stars rating.

Above, we see a Turkish Bath. Nothing else needs to be said. This lovely painting deserves 5 stars rating.

In this painting, a King is doing his vows before the Virgin Mary. It was a pretty common ritual back them. Two cherubs are holding up a sign for him to read. It looks cool how the angels are parting the curtains. They are revealing the heavenly world. In any case, this lovely painting by Ingres deserves 5 stars rating.

In this painting, we see Venus surrounded by cherubs. One is offering her a mirror. Her pose is very similar to the Source Painting. This cute Venus painting deserves 5 stars rating.

Black Swan Psychological Thriller Movies Review 5 Stars

Recently, I got around to reviewing the Black Swan movie. I need not tell you that it is a 5 stars worthy movie. I first went to see it in the theater. The resolution was pretty great. When I first saw it, I found the camera pretty odd. It focused a bit too much on Natalie Portman's face. Eventually, I got used to the main character oriented camera.





Anyhow, this movie is about a cute ballerina named Nina. Since she was a little girl, her mother has been making her take ballet lessons. In a way, her mother was living through her. Thus, she puts a lot of pressure on her girl. Early on, the mother alludes to Nina's insanity. At a certain point of her life, Nina had a nervous breakdown. She used to scratch her back obsessively.

Now, that she is the Swan Queen Nina's bad habit is returning. Her rival Lily, played by Mina Kunis is ought to get her. She has been undermining Nina since she arrived. She made her first appearance early in the movie. She interrupted Nina during her audition for the swan queen. That day, for some odd reason, the boss wanted to have both the Black Swan and the Swan Queen played by the same girl.

Anyhow, between Lily and her boss, Nina is quickly driven insane. The rest of the movie focuses on all the aberrations of Nina's insane mind. As the opening night comes closer, Nina imagines herself becoming the black swan. The Black Swan was the persona she had most problems interpreting. The Black Swan was better embodied by Lily's dark coquettish personality.

I like the part in the film were they showed us that Nina's insanity ran in the family. Her mother had the bad habit of painting images of her own daughter. She  took the whole living through your kid, to new extremes. She was a real crazy mother. Aside from the characters, I liked the Swan Lake performance a lot.

Natalie Portman acted well the dance scenes. From what I heard, she had taken ballet dances as a child. Thus, she had a pretty good idea how the whole ballet thing went. The last thing worth mentioning are the costumes. Portman looked very pretty dressed in her black swan outfit. Truly, the Black Swan movie is a 5 stars worthy film. I recommend it to all who like ballet or the acting of Natalie Portman.

The Chronicle of Western Fashion by John Peocock 5 Stars Worthy

Today, I wanted to review another one of Peocock's fashion books. This one focuses on western fashion. It starts with ancient Egypt. He chose to start with Egypt because the Europeans are fascinated with Egypt. Many consider the Egyptians Europeans... for some reason or other. In any case, most European history books start with Egypt and Mesopotamia. As such, Peocock started his fashion book in the same fashion.





Anyhow, each chapter shows you some sample drawings. Most of them focus on the fashion of the Kings and the nobles. Then again, until the 1800s the lower classes only had one outfit. You could recognize them based on their shabby clothing. As such, Peocock only needed one figure for the fashion of the poor. After the 1800s, clothing became cheaper.

The industrial revolution allowed for the fashion of today to come into being. Now, fashion artists could make clothing for both the rich and the poor alike. Anyhow, the last chapter focuses on fashion from the 1900s to 1980s. I do not know why Peocock always stops in the 80s. It must be because he hates fashion beyond the 20th century.

Aside from dresses, this book has a section that tells you about the fabrics. I never did get how that was useful. Still, I found the descriptions of the attires very useful. Think about it, with their proper names you can work with each piece of clothing independently. For creating new fashion, the descriptions were very useful. Truly, this fashionable book of Peocock deserves 5 stars rating.

Man of Steel New Super Man Movie Review 5 Stars Rating

Two days ago, I watched the Man of Steel with my brother. The movie was just what you would expect of a Super Man movie. It had a lot of action and building crushing. Its a bummer that nobody died in the buildings that Super Man crashed into while fighting Zod. I think it is best that I start with the beginning. Anyone, who is anyone knows Super Man. Therefore, he was being resold and repackaged to people who knew his story inside and out.





The thing that first called my attention was planet Krypton's technology. If I remember correctly, Krypton excelled in crystal manipulations. Their tech was just regular sci fi mambo jumbo. Putting that aside, the flashy nano PC was pretty interesting. Early on, the movie shows you a bit of the life of Krypton before its destruction. Their society was identical to the Hindu society.

Everyone was genetically engineered into the caste that they belonged to. Anyhow, Super Man or Kal El was the first natural born baby. As such, he was born with the freedom to choose his own fate. Knowing that the planet was about to be destroyed, his father stole the entire genetic code of their race and implanted them on his son. The entire code was being drawn from the skull of a dead guy. In a way, it was the Adam of their race.

Like we all know, he sent Super Man to planet Earth. The rest of the movie is history. I do not wish to spoil the ending, or the middle. I will only mention a few things that called my attention. The first was Super Man's childhood flashbacks. Every kid superman had or did not have a broken chin. It came on and off from time to time. The pity is that you are born with a broken chin. You do not develop one as you grown up.

Another thing that I found rather odd was the continuity issues that turned up in the second half of the movie. Suddenly, everyone knew of the planet Krypton. I thought it was hilarious an interesting note about the rebels friends of Zod. They had a chick among their crew. Instead of repopulating their race, the old fashion way they decided to travel to earth to kidnapped Super Man. Well, Zod did repudiate natural relationships. It still gave me a lot of food for thought. After all, desperate times call for desperate measures.

The last thing that I like was the cute scene when lil Clark Kent was having a hard time with his powers. Thanks to his adopted mother, he was able to control his powers. One final thought... Super Man is an all American Hero. He was a political refugee that immigrated illegally to our planet. Since he grew up in Kansas he naturally was all American, culturally.

Using his powers, he made himself and everyone around him a better person. In a way, he represents all illegal american children who immigrated to this country, when they were small. Its a bummer how the humans tried to deported him back to his home world. Humans are very evil, when they feel threatened. In a way, this alludes to what is happening to those poor illegal immigrant children. They grew up here and now are being sent back to their country. On this sad note, I end this great Man of Steel review. It deserves 5 stars rating.

Assassin's Creed III Historical Game Review 5 Stars Worthy

A week ago, I bought the Assassin's Creed  III game. As a rule of thumb, whenever I buy a series game I start with the last. I have bad experiences with legacy games. For a long time, I have been reluctant to buy the game. I did know that it was pretty popular. However, I thought it was simply a silly game about killing people during historical time. When I got the game I thought it would begin in the US or something. However, I was shocked by the whole Animus system or whatever.





The whole gloom and doom of the game gave you a sense of purpose. You where killing, but it was for the good of the world. It sorta justified the Assassin's way of life. Then again, the game is about what the assassin's believe in. From what I heard, the Assassin of the third part is the one least like in the internet, for some reason. It must be because Connor is a half breed. Plus, the whole patricide thing does not suit well. Then again, Haythem did abandon him and his native wife.

When I first started playing in the historical world, I thought that Haythem was an Assassin. Only when he indoctrinated his new member, I was able to see that he was an evil Templar. I gathered as much that the Templars want to rule the world. Plus, they are not doing much to save it. Then again, the way that the Juno planned to save Earth did not make any sense. I mean, how do you wish away a calamity?

Anyhow, I wish to focus on the beginning. Like you all know, we start out with Haythem. The first kill mission was at a British Opera. It was really hard for me, because I had never played the game. The climbing was pretty peachy. However, the whole picking locks things took quite a bit of time. The getting away part was also pretty stressful.

From London, Haythem went to the US colony in Boston. The ship trek was real annoying, specially with the coup. Somehow, I managed not to get the captain killed. As soon as I landed, I started interacting with the city. After visiting the Inn, I went to the shops. I robbed enough money to buy Haythem a new sword. I went way out of my way to give him the best weapon out there. It was a real bummer how I made powerful the final boss.

Fighting wise, I got used to killing pretty early. With Haythem, I killed 111 before switching to Connor. I used to try to fight a large number of British soldiers. You know, for practice purposes. The underground tunnel mission was pretty cool. I managed to discover all the exit. The thing I found most annoying where the Almanac pages. It was pretty hard to get them.

Silly wise, my poor Haythem got a gaming problem as soon as he arrived. I got into playing the mini games and lost all the money that I had. Since then, I have avoided those silly board games. Sure, you could kill a lot of time. However, I rarely won in those games.

Haythem's missions were pretty cool. I grew to like him a lot. The whole cutesy romance with the Native chick was really cute. It was a bummer how she jumped around in the trees. Connor's childhood was real depressing. Frankly, I though it was really cool when he turned into an eagle. The pity was that the mission required you not to bump into anything. I did pretty well for most of the flight. Around the end, I literary ate the bark off all the trees in the forest.

It was interesting how little by little they gave you a tutorial of the game. The game really got started when I got the fancy Assassin's suit. Connor's Yoda was pretty depressing. It was really sad how he changed Connor's name. He said it was better to be taken as a Spaniard, than as a Native. Overall, the game was pretty realistic with the racism.

Lets see, another thing that I liked were the ship battles. In the first one, I died twice. I could hardly handle the British Warship. As the saying goes, the third time was the charm. I also started doing the treasure hunting missions. You know, the silly peg leg missions. Things got easier after I bought all the upgrades for the ship.

Story line wise, I got as far as the Boston Tea Party. Most of the time, I spent it doing the side quests. Recently, my brother finished doing the hunting missions for me. I am not a very good hunter... nor a very effective Assassin. I am quick and efficient. In the mission about the drafted boys, I finished it very quickly. In the internet, I have seen videos of people that spend an eternity to get to the guy.

I simple rushed to him and pushed him off the first floor. It triggered the drowning glitch, which caused him to die. The mission was over in a flash. I am of the belief that the faster you kill the main target, the less casualties you can avoid. Another hard mission was when I killed the guy that was trying to sell the lands of my people. He tried to escape, but I ignored the others. I chased after him and got him with the Stinger. I chocked him just before a British guy sneaked up from behind.

Killing wise, I liked the liberation fort missions a lot. Ideally, I was supposed to do them with my allies. I took care of them beforehand. The first fort mission was really hard. The others got progressively easier, with experience. I usually blew up the powder reserves first. The noise would attract the main target. I would then lure him by whistling like a fool. The hardest part was lowering the flag. After much killing, I would create a clearing that allowed me to take the fort for the Patriots.

The trick was sneaking in. All forts had a weakness in their fortification. Some would have a back doors. Others had a weak sea entrance. Others, I entered by climbing trees. It is a bummer how the internet people play. So overcautious... I am amassed that I am still alive. Due to my recklessness, I get into battles often. From all the times that I have fought in the game, I have only died trice... Once was at the Boston Tea party. The other time was during a fort raid. In another time, I got mauled by a bear while learning how to haunt.

The other times that I have died was due to falling from great heights. I could never find the haystack on time. At other times, the water was shallower than expected. The last thing I wish to mention is the economy. Recently, I figured out how to work with it. The fur trade is making me rich. I still have a lot of things to discover about the game. So far, I am licking it. The world map is huge, just how a I like it. I did find a few bugs like the old man standing on an invisible cane. He also multiplied a few times at night. In any case, the Assassin's Creed III game is worth 5 stars rating. When the new one comes out, I am so totally buying it!!

Antonio Corradini Venetian Rococo Sculptor 1668 - 1752 Review

Today, I wanted to review the work of Corradini. He was a sculptor who specialized in veiled marble. It was an artifice that made marble appear transparent. Like any regular sculptor he did a lot of commissioned works. However, his veiled sculptures won his place in eternity. The first sculpture features a veiled Christ. He came out looking pretty realistic. In any case, this cute sculpture deserves 5 stars rating.

Here we have another sculpted cutie. She is dressed like a Greek maiden. The veins of the marble makes it seem like the girl has veins. It is a pity that two of her toes fell off. Truly, this Corradini sculpture deserves 5 stars rating.

This is a sculpture about modesty. The irony is that this well dressed lady still looks immodest because of the transparency of her dress. She looks cool ripping off a sign. This original sculpture of Modesty deserves 5 stars rating.

This sculpture features Rebecca. She was the wife of Isaac. She is veiled with a basin. It was part of the marriage ritual of the ancient Isrealites. This cute little bride of Corradini deserves 5 stars rating.

Above is a bust of a veiled lady. The way she is averting her gaze is really pretty. The patterns in her dress are very pretty. This darling by Corradini deserves 5 stars rating.

Here is the last featured sculpture. The maiden seems to be waking up. It is pretty cool this final veiled effect. This last cutie by Corradini deserves 5 stars rating. I hope that you liked these featured sculptures.

Theodore Gericault 1791 - 1824 French Romanticist Painter Review

Today, I wanted to review a few of the paintings by Gericault. Gericault was a romanticism painter. He lived during a very turbulent period. He lived through the French Revolution, Napoleon's Empire and what followed. He worried much about what had become of France when the crown returned. He did a lot of lithographs critiquing the burgeons tendencies of the new crown. They were so worried about amassing wealth that they forgot about the lower castes. After his long career, he fell from his high horse and died.





Anyhow, the first painting is about the flood. The storm is painted in the romanticism style. It does great emphasis on the power of nature. Humans are powerless in the face of its powers. These people are doomed. In any case, this lovely scenery of Gericault deserves 5 stars rating.

This is a very cool landscape. Though it is painted in romanticism style, it has traits of realism. The horses are really realistic. It shows you the harsh rural life. Those horses bear a terrible burden. Like their owners, they will break their backs and only to die in this harsh terrain. Never will they be able to escape this cycle of poverty. This grim message of Gericault deserves 5 stars rating.

This is the second version of the Medusa painting. Here the castaways are signalling to a ship. After drifting in the sea for weeks they were finally saved. Here is how the story went. The captain of the Medusa was changed for one of the king's favorites. One day there was a storm and he escaped with the only lifeboat. He doomed his crew to perish. To survive, the crewmen made a raft from the remnants of their ship. They wondered for days. Eventually, they ran out of supplies. To survive, they resulted to cannibalism. They ate the dead. When they were finally rescued they brought back the tales of their voyage. They blamed their suffering on the ineptitude of their captain. These stories inspired many painters who immortalized those horrible tales in paintings. As such, here we have this lovely painting by Gericault. Truly, this painting deserves 5 stars rating.

Philip James de Loutherbourg French Romanticism 1740 – 1812 Paintings Review

Loutherbourg was a famous French painter. He was born in Britain, however he spent most of his time in France. As such, he is considered a French painter. Anyhow, he was known for his elaborate paintings. He also designed sets for the opera. When he was not painting he read books on faith healing and the occult. Yep, he had true romanticism interests.





The first painting features a fight in the Nile. Loutherbourg liked to illustrate a lot of battles. This one is one such battles. In the foreground, we see some navy officers. Some are in rafts, others are in boats. In the background, we see an epic ship battle. One has just exploded. In any case, this romanticism painting deserves 5 stars rating.

John Collier 1850 –1934 Pre-Raphaelite Paintings Review

John Collier was a famous painter and writer. He was a Pre- Raphealite painter. The Pre- Raphalites where a group of painters who were interested in the words of the painters before Raphael. They hated the Greek classicism. They miss the days when paintings had spiritual value. As such, they tended to avoid Greek themes like the plague. If they did paint Greek subjects there were surrounded by religious overtones. It is not that they were into Catholicism per say. Rather, they wanted its spiritual values. He worried much about Superstition. He liked spirituality, but feared the superstition that followed.





I think that is enough info on the guy. Now let us review Collier's lovely paintings. The first artwork shows Eve running away. Judging by her expression, she has just eaten the fruit of knowledge. The garden is pretty realistic. This lovely painting by Collier deserves 5 stars rating.

She issued a proclamation commanding all pheasants to stay indoors. However, a man named Tom drilled a hole in his house in order to see the lady pass. From him comes the saying, "Peeping Tom". Draper was a classical painter from the Victorian era. Aside from mythological paintings he also did portraits. He lost popularity in the end of his life. Recently, his artwork started selling pretty well. This painting shows Ariadne. After she helped Theseus get the golden fleece he abandoned her in a random island. Here she is crying over to her beloved. It is one of those depressing Greek tragedies. In any case, this sad painting deserves 5 stars rating.

This is a painting that we are all familiar with. This is Ulysses listening to the song of the Sirens. The three sirens in the foreground do look really pretty. This lovely painting by Draper deserves 5 stars rating.
