Ary Scheffer French Painter 5 Stars Worthy Review

Ary Scheffer was a French painter who liked to paint subjects from literature and from the Bible. He created his own style called frozen classical. Anyhow, the first painting shows the ill fated couple of Paolo and Francesca. Both are being observed by Dante and Virgil. It's part of a scene from Dante's inferno. It is interesting how the scene seems to be frozen in time. Truly, it deserves 5 stars rating.

In this scene, we see a scene from Faust. Here, he is in the garden with the girl he likes. His pet demon and the gardener are sneering at the couple. It is interesting how Faust wears black and his girl white. Needless to say, Faust is trying to woo her. However, she is averting her gaze. Despite all the money she got from the demon, she is still a bit reluctant to be with Faust. Anyhow, this painting by Scheffer deserves 5 stars rating.

Above, we see a painting with a very long French name. It shows ghost going to heaven. Their earthly suffering is being erased as they fly off to heaven. From the ground, the painting looks dark. As the ghost get closer to heaven, their robes become immaculate. This painting by Ary Scheffer deserves 5 stars rating.

In this painting, Macbeth has met the weird witch girls. The way they are flying is pretty neat. They are in the middle of making a prophecy. Macbeth is pointing at himself, doubting his ears. 5 stars for Ary Scheffer.

Most painters have paintings about cute girls. As such, here we see a cute portrait of sorts. The maiden is standing in profile. Her red dress stands out vividly against the sunrise. This warm painting deserves 5 stars rating.

In this painting, some maidens are taking refuge in the shrine of the Virgin Mary. Outside the cave, there are raiders. In no time, they will discover the maidens and all will be over. In any case, this painting deserves 5 stars rating.

In this last painting, Orpheus is sobbing over the body of his beloved. She was struck down by a snake. This image of despair seems to be frozen in time. Truly, Ary Scheffer deserves 5 stars rating.  I hope that you liked this short painting review.

Alena Klementieva is a fantasy and modern day painter. She is a Russian artist. She mostly does digital art wallpapers. She hosts them in deviant art. She has been making illustrations since 1953. In the first wallpaper, we see a blue mermaid with a harp. This digital art wallpaper deserves 5 stars rating.

In this illustration, we see a pretty maiden in the forest. Her long blonde hair has a lot of natural decorations. She is quite pleasing to the eye. She deserves 5 stars rating.

 In this digital art wallpaper, we see a pretty mermaid and her merbaby. Both are what you would expect from mermaids. Another 5 stars worthy piece.

In this illustration, we see a witch with her cat and her owl. Both have silky white colors. They seem to stand out in the darkness. Truly, Klementieva deserves 5 stars rating.

In this illustration, we see a maiden burning her butterflies. The red hue around her sets well the mood. 5 stars for Klementieva.

In the next illustration, we see a dark mermaid. Klementieva was sorta going for the whole dark elf, light elf kinda differentiation. For decorations, the mermaid has a string of pearls in her hand. She deserves 5 stars ratings.

In this illustration, we see a water nymph and her man. She has drowned him in order to be with him forever. In any case, this lovely digital art wallpaper deserves 5 stars rating.

Truly, that is a very surprising transformation. I find cute the little spiders on her dress. It is a bummer what she used to be before. In any case, this piece gets 5 stars rating. I hope that you like this short Klementieva fantasy art review.

The Gender Gap Essay By Teresita Blanco

            The term gender gap originated with the feminist movement of the 1920s. According to early suffragists, women had different experiences than that of men. They argued that man and women would see certain events differently. They used that argument to support woman’s right to vote. At the time, women and men served different roles in society. Men belonged to the public sphere and women in the private sphere. It was argued that the women would vote differently than man on certain issues because of their gender (Carroll, Pg 77). When woman finally earned the right to vote, the voting patterns of men and woman remained more or less identical.  Changes did not occur because women were still tied to their husbands, due to financial and cultural reasons. 

The true gender gap only surfaced in the 1980s. By that time, women had become psychologically and financially independent from men. As such, they started using their voting power to address issues that were important to them (Caroll, Pg 78). In essence, gender gap is described as the difference between man and woman voters’ support for certain laws, candidates and issues (Clark Article, Pg 54). This gender gap greatly influences men and women support certain issues. It explains why more women vote Democrat than men or why more men support military spending.

            

 Susan J. Carroll has four explanations for the origin of this gender gap. The first reason has to do with women’s increased independence (Caroll, Pg 78). Over the years, there have been higher divorce rates. Women still tend to live longer then man. These two factors combined have made women the main bread winners of their families. This independence has helped them view things differently than men. Today, women are more independent thanks to education. More and more women keep seeking higher degree education at the university. With education, their perspective broadens. They no longer follow blindly whatever men claims.

            This gender gap reason is visible in women’s Democratic tendencies. According to Clark, the increase in divorce rate has created a feminization of poverty (Clark, Pg 59).As it happens, due to divorces and longer life spans, women end up as the sole bread winner for a family. This causes many women to live near the poverty line. As such, they tend to support well fare programs because their livelihood depends on them (Clark, Pg 59).Thus, their newly found independence has made women more likely to vote Democrats and the well fare programs that the Party supports.

 

            The second reason for the gender gap has been attributed to the feminist movement. The feminist movement has done much to enlighten women on their political powers (Clark Article, pg 53). Many scholar blame the gender gap on the feminist movement. The movement created a political agenda that solely benefited women (Clark, pg 53). Its ultimate aim was to increase gender consciousness among women in order to help women become independent of men. The feminist group was so vehement in their claims that many women subscribed the feminist agenda. In essence, the feminist political agenda is partly responsible for the gender gap. 

            The influences of the feminist agenda were visible in policies that woman support. According to Clark, women who identified themselves as feminist were more likely to support Gay Rights (Clark, Pg 59). They were also more likely to support a Democratic Candidate. This was well noted in the Bill Clinton Elections. In his second term, the gender gap showed that 11% more women than men supported the Democratic incumbent (Carroll, pg 80). Since Democrats had a liberal agenda, women tended to vote Democrat.

            The third reason for the gender gap has much to do with Ronald Reagan. Up until his election, the Democrat and Republican parties ideologies were not clearly defined (Caroll,pg 79).  Reagan was the first Republican President to run with a clear, Conservative Republican agenda. Before he came along, you had the Conservative Democrats or the Liberal Republicans. Reagan’s election shifted the agenda in such a way that made the Democrats Liberal and the Republicans Conservatives. When the parties obtained clear cut differences the gender gap became apparent (Caroll, pg 79). This was well noted in both the Reagan elections. In the first elections, 54 % of men voted for Reagan. In his reelection, Reagan received 64% of male voters. In both instances the gender gap, ranged between 6 and 8% of more male voters supporting the Republican Party.

            Lastly, the gender gap was created because of changes in male voting patterns. Before the 1970s, men divided their votes evenly among the Democratic and Republican Party (Carroll, pg 81). Early on, women showed a preference for the Democratic Party. After the 1980s, men’s attitude changed. Men started showing a preference for the Republican Party. Women’s party identification did not change much over the years (Carroll, Pg 82). Even in 2005, Women still prefer the Democratic Party. 

According to Clark, the gender gap among voters who support the Democrats had increased. The gap ranges between 3% and 11% of men did not vote for a Democratic candidate (Clark, Pg 51). The gap was most visible in the reelections of the Republican Presidents George. In the Bush reelections, 55% of men voted for Bush (Carroll, Pg 79). Men’s Republican tendencies were also noted on the issues that men support. Generally, men want less government intervention, less well fare spending and more tax cuts (Clark, Pg 59). These ideologies are represented by the Republican Party. Overall, changes in men’s attitudes have made them more likely to vote for a Republican Candidate.

            The Clark article also adds two other reasons for the gender Gap. According to Clark, the gender gap was created because women are more compassionate than men (Clark, Pg 53). According to Caroll Gilligan, women see the world based on their psychology. They focus more on community and connecting with others on a personal level. As for men, they tend to see the world in a more abstract light. For them, everything is about competition and confrontation. Women, on the other hand, prefer to cooperate with others. Unlike men, they are willing to make compromises for the sake of the entire group (Clark, Pg 54).

            The effect of women’s compassion is noted in their support for social well fare programs. As such, women tend to think that government should do more. On a more personal level, women tend to support government programs that promote education and child care (Clark, pg 59). Since Democrats Party is the party that supports government involvement, the compassion element makes women vote Democrat.

            The second reason has to do with women’s conflict aversion tendencies. Since they have to take care of the children, women tend to avoid conflict (Clark, Pg 54). According to Table 3.6, most women tend to despise defense spending. The gender gap among these voters for defense spending was of 6%. The gender gap is even more visible among the democratic woman. About 73% of Democratic woman did not want more military spending (Clark, Pg 60). This gap became more visible with more than 8% of women not desiring more military spending. 

These trends vary depending on the international situations. Post 9/11, the gender gap on matters of military spending narrowed quite a bit (Clark, Pg 61). In 2002, 4% more women wanted the government to fight terrorism. As the war progressed, women’s attitude changed. The gender gap shifted to having 13% of women against Terrorism spending (Clark, pg 60). This goes to show that women do not put up with war for very long. At most, they will support war spending at the start of the conflict.However, when the bodies start piling up, women become conflict resolution oriented (Clark, Pg 54). In the end, the situation dictates how women will react to a conflict. If they feel themselves and their family threatened women are more likely than men to support military spending. However, if women feel that the conflict feels is far away from U.S. soil, women tend to not to support military spending.

            All these factors combined explain the origin and the effects of the gender gap in politics. There are fundamental differences among men and women. While these differences persist, the gender gap will remain. That gender gap will only become more apparent as more women enter political office (Clark, Pg 52). Women tend to gage things on how it will affect their family members. Men view issues on a more self-centered level.Another key issue is the Republican Party. That tends to attach more male voters. For the U.S. society to become more egalitarian, the Republican Party needs to change, in a way that allows for more women participation. There is a need for there to be both men and woman in both political parties. Women have a different opinion than men, which must be addressed. While their voices remain silence, the U.S. will not have true gender equality.

Charles West Cope Victorian Painter 1811 – 1890 5 stars Worthy

Charles West Cope painted in Victorian England. He specialized in genre, historical paintings and etching. He also made a few frescoes for the House of Lords, in London. His parents had high expectations for Cope. His parents gave him the name West because they hoped that their son would paint like Benjamin West. As a child, Cope's family sent him to study in the top schools of arts. He left school to escape from the unwelcome attentions of his teachers. He left to Paris to study on his own. When he returned home, he painted his first two masterpieces, "Paolo and Franceses" and "Osteria di Campagna". He displayed them in the Royal Academy. He made a considerable sum from the selling of both paintings. This allowed him to found "The Etching Club".

Above, we see one of the paintings featured in the Houses of Parliament. Cromwell dominated the short lived Commonwealth of England. During that time, England became a democracy Protestant State. When he died, England returned to their old Monarchic ways. Above, we see Cromwell negotiating the aid to another Protestant nation. This painting glorifies the workings of Democracy. Politics in the hands of the people and for the people. The personages' portraits might be based on true historical portraits of the diplomats. Cope's Oliver Cromwell looks like the original Oliver Cromwell. In any case, this painting by Cope deserves 5 stars rating. 

In this painting, a girl takes a thorn from the hand of a boy. The thorn causes him a lot of pain. In the foreground, we see a book and two roses. Apparently the boy tried to get some roses for the girl. The scene seems a bit romantic. It can be interpreted in a sensual way as well. The boy has a thorn that only the girl's soft hands can cure, if you get my meaning? In any case, this lovely painting by Charles West Cope deserves 5 stars rating. 

This painting glorifies the life of a homemaker. While this mother does her sewing, she helps her children with their reading lessons. The girl on the floor represents the mother's past. The little girl balances her education with her house chores. She must be both a homemaker and a teacher for her children. When a woman manages to do both, she spends her life well. This Victorian Homemaker deserves 5 stars rating.

This painting has an ambiguous name. I do not know its theme. From what I see, it seems that the father or some random guy has stolen the mother's baby. The mother lies defeated on the floor. Her maids watch the scene in awe. The personages look idealized. However, their faces have a lot of emotion. In any case, this painting by Cope deserves 5 stars rating.

This painting shows a girl with a slate. The slate shows that the girl goes to school. She has a determine gaze. She wants education. This pretty profile by Charles West Cope deserves 5 stars rating.

In this painting, a widow fell asleep while sewing. All the details contribute to this fact. She even has a dimple on one of her fingers. The window shows the London bridge. This humble domestic scene deserves 5 stars rating. 

This painting has an odd title. The girl gazes at several golden flowers. Based on the title, must have received the flowers from a man she liked. She has high hopes of meeting him. However, she fears what will happen when she meets him. This cryptic painting by Charles West Cope deserves 5 stars rating. 

In this painting, a mother has become a widow. She read news of her husband's death. Her daughter tries pitifully to clean her mother's tears. Behind the pair, we can see a painting of the dead husband, wearing his uniform. The stage light, however, focuses on the mother's suffering. This depressing painting by Cope deserves 5 stars rating.

In this painting, the lady of the house looks exited. The postman brings her news of her lover boy. The maiden holds a bit of hair in her hand. All over the house there's signs that a man lives there. Based on the top hat and the fur, the maiden's lover must be an explorer or hunter. He must have been gone for a long time, for she eagerly awaits news from him. In any case, this lovely painting by Cope deserves 5 stars rating.

This painting shows a spirit maiden coming out of the well. The monk cannot believe his eyes. The scenery reminds me of a Spanish monetary. Its said that many wells or other water landmarks have spirits within. The contrast between the monks and the maiden works pretty well. She looks idealized while the monks look mundane. In any case, this lovely painting by Cope deserves 5 stars rating.

Above, the prince asks for the peasant girl's hand. He brought his entire court along for the trip. He aims to woo her with his wealth, power and influence. This painting shows the end of the story. For the writer, the husband behaved like a jerk for putting Griselda through so many trails. The tale critique upper class's romantic advances on lower class women. Here, the poor folks appears as the victims who endure many trails to marry up. In this depiction, Cope shows the entire court. One of the boy's carrying the treasures looks back at the viewer. In any case, this painting deserves 5 stars rating.

Above, we see a mother teaching her boy how to play the piano. It shows glorifies a woman's role in the education and nurturing of their children. Nothing else needs to be said. 5 stars for Charles West Cope.

This painting shows a young mother feeding her first born. Both look beautiful together. This candid moment deserves 5 stars.

In the last painting, a mother wants to feed her little girl. Her maid hugs her little girl. Everything looks beautiful within. This last genre middle class painting gets 5 stars. I hope that you like this Victorian painter a lot.

John Singer Sargent did more than 900 oil paintings, in addition to 2000 watercolor paintings. He trained in Paris, before starting his career in London. Since he learned to painting in France, the art historians call Sargent a French painter. Regardless, he mostly painted genre scenes, middle class leisure and portraits. All these paintings focused on the fashion of the day. It captured the impression of watching a crowd pass by. As such, Sargent paid a lot of attention to dresses.

The first painting shows Mrs. Phipps in a black and white dress. This painting does emphasis on her fashionable wear. The eye wanders from the dress to the face. This painting has a lot of cute things to attract the eye. Apparently, Mrs. Phipps received the flower from a lover. She gingerly plays with the flower while looking at the viewer. This lovely painting by Sargent deserves 5 stars rating.

In this oriental painting, Sargent shows a crowd of Muslim women. These maidens must have belonged to a nearby semi nomadic village. The title of the painting refers to their lovely cashmere robes. They shimmer beautifully against the barren background. Two maidens gaze back at the viewer. This beautiful painting by Sargent deserves 5 stars rating.

This painting shows middle class leisure. As such, these party goers went to ride a boat. Though painted in an impressionism style, the scenery shows a lot of realism. Nothing else needs to be said. I simply like this painting. 5 stars for Sargent

This portrait shows a Mrs. so and so. Many impressionism painters of the day enjoyed painting women and women fashion. They saw them as beautiful eye candy. Following that format, Sargent draws attention to Mrs. Raphael's necklace. This painting by John Singer Sargent deserves 5 stars rating.

In this painting, lady Macbeth has a crown in her hands. She sees her dark ambition about to come to fruition. Truly, quite the epic scene. Her dress has lot of details. 5 stars for John Singer Sargent.

The last painting shows a family. The decorations about them shows that they belonged to the old noble family, specifically the family of the Sun King. Interesting enough, the wife stands out the most. She must be the direct decedent of the Sun King. Truly, this last painting deserves 5 stars rating. "The Heart of Thomas" by Moto Hagio

This graphic novel starts pretty depressing. It maintains a gloomy attitude throughout the story. In the first chapter, a boy named Thomas sends a love letter his fellow classmate, Juli. The letter carried his suicide love confession. Thomas killed himself because Juli would not return his affection. Thomas killed himself by jumping in the rails of the train.

Ever since Thomas' death, Juli has not known a moment of peace. Since only Juli had the suicide letter, the entire campus believed Thomas had suffered an accidental death. Being one of the few who knew the truth, Juli felt himself haunted by Thomas. He felt angry that Thomas tormented. After all, why should he be forced to return the feelings of someone he did not love?

To find some sort of closure, Juli decided to visit a graveyard. He tore Thomas' letter over his grave. While walking home, he thought he saw Thomas. It turns out the new transfer student, Erich, looks identical to Thomas. His looks causes him a lot of problems in the new school. Erich does not care since he eagerly awaits a letter from his mother, asking him to return home.

This yaoi novel takes place in a boy's boarding school. Then again, the time period required that only boys go to school. All the male characters look very pretty. Like any yaoi drama, the book gets kinda weird around the end. Frankly, I did not like the end very much. Then again, I rarely saw an ending that I liked. In any case, this lovely manga deserves 5 stars rating.

Sakuran by Moyoco Anno

"Sakuran" reminds me of  "Memoirs of a Geisha". The only difference between both works lies in validity. If you seek realism, you must read Sakuran. Sakuran paints in all its ugly, glamorous colors the life of a courtesan. The story features a beautiful girl named Kiyoka who lived in the Edo Period. Her stepfather sold her to the brothel, Yoshiwara.

Those who bought Kiyoha wished to groom her into an Oiran. Their previous Oiran got bought out of the brothel. The only problem with their plan lies in Kiyoha. Kiyoha has a rebellious attitude. They may beat her, torture her, humiliate her; however, nothing they do can crush Kiyoha's rebellious spirit.

The book begins with Kiyoka, after she finished her training. She currently holds the number 3 spot in the brothel. She lies very close to completing her goals. From seeing the finished product, the anime artist takes you back in time. You see Kiyoka's progression from a ill manner little girl to an ill manner courtesan.

This graphic novel shows you the tragedies of courtesan life. The kimonos look very fancy. Even the front cover looks glamorous. The main character truly looks beautiful with those big, round black eyes. I learned much from this graphic novel. For example, the hairstyles of the Japanese ladies have a meaning. The one that Kiyoka sports means, "A Lonely Night Without a Man". Her hairdo has a certain irony about it, considering Kiyoka's line of work.

Another interesting detail pertains to the rules of this high class brothel. For example, costumers can only sleep with the first courtesan they chose. If they catch him with a different courtesan, he gets tied up and paraded throughout the brothel. He only gets released when he agrees to pay for all courtesans. In any case, Sakuran deserves 5 stars rating. Before I forget, this anime can only be read by readers 18 years or older.

Berserk by Kentaro Miura

A few years ago, I watched the first 5 minutes of the "Berserk" anime show. Frankly, I did not like the anime show. It seemed really, really yaoi, like a pink mushroom dream. Sometime passed and I felt really bored in my university. I got into the habit of reading the graphic novels they had at school. While browsing through the few mangas they had, I ran into Berserk.

I do not know what made me check out the graphic novel. I did not even look at the front cover, nor the info behind the book. When I brought it to the front desk, to check it out, the librarian said," Berserk! When did we get this?"

His coworker added, "Dude, we had that manga for years!"

Glancing at me he said, "You have got to lend this to me, when you finish reading it!"

With that positive endorsement, I read the "Berserk" manga. The first scene seemed to be taken from Conan the Barbarian. I saw Guts screwing this cute chick who turned into a demon. When she changed her form, Guts used his automail arm to shoot explosive arrows to her face. From then on, the manga got bloodier and weirder. It marked the general mood of this anime graphic novel.

In chapter one, Guts saves a puny elf boy named Puck. As it happens with cute doggies, Puck started following Guts around. He wanted to witness all of Guts' adventures. Guts has a cursemark on his neck. The mark draws demons toward him. He has been fighting ever since he got the mark.

Because of the mark, Guts keeps people at a distance. He knows they will get hurt if they get too close to him. It has happen far too many times. The way that Guts walks around with the fairy boy, Puck, reminds me a bit of Zelda... A very messed up, angrier version of Zelda. In the anime show, I did not see Puck. They seemed to have edited him out.

Fighting wise, Guts cannot go 5 pages without slicing someone in half. His fighting panels always look epic. Like any guy, Guts has a soft part for cute girls. He always feels guilty when one gets killed in the crossfire. Indeed, Guts deep down has a kind heart. He only goes Berserk to survive. Truly, the "Berserk" manga deserves 5 stars rating.

Black Jack by Osamu Tezuka

My friend Tzukiyo recommended me this graphic novel. Black Jack practiced his medicine without a license. Time and time again, he has rejected the licenses they have offered him. He simply wants to be judged, not by a title, but for his skills. Despite his talents, many people despise the doctor because he charges too much. He serves as a critique to modern medicine.

He charged much because of his skills. After all, you pay for what you get. When all else fails, they call Black Jack. He may appear greedy, however, he charges people based on their needs. The rich pay more than the poor. The poor pay him with a bowl of ramen. From all the characters I have seen, I like Pinoko the best.

She started life as a twin who lived inside her sister's belly. When Black Jack operated her sister, he gave Pinoko, age 18, her own body using synthetic skin. Since her sister did not want her, Black Jack adopted her. Pinoko loves Black Jack. However, Black Jack only sees her as a little girl. I find it cute whenever Pinoko calls herself Black Jack's wife.

From the four volumes I read, I wish to mention an interesting story. In one of them, I saw a parody of Obama Care, 30 years before it came to being. Basically, the hospital had made an assembly line system that allowed for cheap patient care. One day the main doctor's daughter got ran over. He needed to get her operated, however, all surgeons had patients to attend. In the end, he had to call Black Jack to save her. In any case, the Medical Drama: Black Jack deserves 5 stars rating.

Today, I wanted to review six wonderful Vocaloid anime wallpaper. I hope that you like them a lot. The first anime wallpaper shows a meeting between Hatsune Miku and her lover, KAITO. Miku has a dreamy expression on her face. I have always considered Vocaloid fanarts the best... some better than others. Above the sky, we can see the constellations. This pixiv mangaka artist took care to draw the constellations out for the viewer. We all know that constellations do not have lines connecting the stars. It would be weird if they did. In any case, this beautiful Vocaloid anime wallpaper deserves 5 stars rating.

This anime wallpaper shows Hatsune Miku carrying some adorable nekomimi chibis in her arms. Her face looks beautiful. Those chibis go by the names of Rin and Len Kagamine. This adorable Vocaloid anime wallpaper deserves 5 stars rating.

This beautiful anime wallpaper shows Ai wearing a pretty Gothic dress. From her hair, red lemons and grapes seem to sprout around her. Kinda freaky, if you ask me. Aiwatan, from pixiv,  made this fruity anime wallpaper. She looks very pretty with her smiling face. Truly, this anime deserves 5 stars rating.

The world of Vocaloid goes round and round, round and round. I am starting to get dizzy. What a major bummer, if you ask me. Then again, I know you won't. Each Vocaloid cutie looks cool in their own unique way. I wonder why Gummy argues with Rin Kagamine. Looking at their dresses, perhaps this anime wallpaper pertains to school life. Pertains, the word of the day. In any case, this beautiful anime wallpaper deserves 5 stars rating. I hope you chibis like a lot. Damn! My back hurts. I gotta move to a chair that has a backside.

This anime wallpaper may seem small. However, it extends for quite the large number of pixels. Each Miku could be large enough to cover the entire length of my screen. Each version shows Hatsune Miku sporting a different dress. Certainly, many will find this anime wallpaper useful, when it comes to wardrobe change. Major Concerns about Affordable Care Act aka ObamaCare

My family has been greatly concerned by ObamaCare. Its literally making us sick, with worry, just thinking about it. We had the vague hopes that it would have blown over by now. Seeing as though the problem does not go away by itself, I feel compelled to tell you my concerns with this so called Affordable Care Act.

Recently, on TV I saw the premiums of the only six people that managed to subscribe to ObamaCare. Those people had to pay from $500 to $600 dollars a month, even with the promised subsidies. Its a major wonder why the Obama administration considers those prices affordable. With this economy, most would be working just to pay for a health insurance that they may or may not need.

Think about it, they call this an affordable health care, however, most people cannot afford to waste $500 bucks on something they may not use, in the near future. Another point against this act lies in the fact that I do not want government to tell me how to deal with my health concerns. At this point in my life, I am as healthy as a horse. I do need treatment as of yet. Thus, why must healthy people be forced to pay for something they would not use, until they turn 50. By that age, most would qualify for Medicare.

Speaking of Medicare, the Affordable Care Act would take money from Medicare to ease the financial burdens created by ObamaCare. A lot of old people who used to have great coverage, overnight would loose their benefits. We can all agree that old people need health care, most of all. Why must they suffer in order to force everyone to get a health care they may not need or cannot afford?

This health care act also includes a panel of medical experts. These bureaucrats would decide what kind of treatment the patient must get. Think about it, who understands better the patients needs, a bureaucrat or his personal doctor?

Speaking of needs and services, this health care too works like any regular insurance. If a person has many illnesses, their premium skyrockets. As such, if the patient smokes, has a congenital disease, ect. they would have to pay a lot. So tell me, how does this health care act truly alleviate the overwhelming amount of health care dept?

Also, this new amount of patients would create a terrible strain for doctors. We simply lack the infrastructure to treat 10 million new patients. At worst, we may end up with an assembly line systems. What good will this health care do, when the quality of treatments suffer, due to overcrowded hospitals?

Imagine this little scenario: Lets say a robber entered your house and shot you in the gut. You call 911 and wait for an ambulance. They tell you that one should arrive between 5 and 10 hours. Long story short, you bleed to death. Why do you think the ambulance did not arrive? With so many patients, naturally it would take an eternity or two for an ambulance to become available.

Another issue has to with the doctors. ObamaCare requires that all medical facilities offer everything. However, most clinics specialize in one sort of health care or other. Overnight, a lot of businesses would not have the money to upgrade. Their only choice would be to close down shop. This ObamaCare would cause a huge wave of unemployment.

This same wave could also expand to other kinds of employment. Think about it, you may be the best at whatever; however, the moment you sneeze your employer might fire you. Many a times employers do not hire people that look unhealthy. After all, a sick employee does not win his company any money. Keeping this in mind, an affordable solution for such companies would be to outsource. ObamaCare would thus create a new wave of outsourcing.

This new wave would not be too noticeable. The jobs that would be lost would simply get replaced by the government, bureaucratic jobs created as a result of ObamaCare. Remember, to implement this law, it would require a massive bureaucratic body. These bureaucrats would decide, based on money, the kinds of premium that the patients deserves. Such bureaucrats would take the health care decisions away from the patients and the doctors. What if they decide that it would be cheaper to pull the plug?

I do not want the government to have power over my body. If I get sick, I should be the one who decides whether I get treatment. This Health Care Act would compel everyone to go to the doctor, in-spite of their personal desires. After all, illnesses have nothing to with the government. When we get sick, it becomes a personal matter. This government intervention infringes on our rights to privacy. Why should it matter to the government if I want to get health care or not?

If you ask me, they should call this act, the Unaffordable Care Act. To make matters worse, the Obama administration wants to add new taxes on top of the Health care act. At this rate, most of our salaries will end up getting consumed.

My fellow Americans, remember what happened to the European Union? The UN started to crumble the moment they went socialist and gave everyone health insurance. Take the hint and do not let history repeat itself! Americans cannot afford this so called "Affordable" Care Act.

Read between the lines: We do not need more government intervention. We do not need big government to tell us how to manage our bodies. Do not buy into the government propaganda! At times like this, I wish we had a Republican Majority. Don't forget your promise, my fellow Republican party. You promised to save us from Big government. Do not give into the president. This insurance problems should be left up to the free market. The demand side of the equation will guarantee affordable health care. It would cause far too much unemployment and uncertainty the ObamaCare implementations.

As for my fellow Democrats, I understand that you must show party loyalty. However, it would be irresponsible to support a law that would harm the very people you are trying to save. Do not send your constituents like lambs to the slaughter house, simply because you need your party's help to get reelected.

Lastly, I want to speak of the A.C.A.'s website. I think the Obama administration got the raw end of the deal. They got tricked into wasting 20 million dollars on a website, that does not even work. A WordPress website, mind you! A website of that magnitude, at most, should have only cost 2 million.

This situation reminded me of the SOPA or PIPA fiasco. Some Hollywood companies tricked Congress into creating a law that censors the Internet, in a way that would make those companies filthy rich. Once again, the administration's lack of computer savvy has hurt them ill. From the beginning, they should have asked Google, Oracle and other major Internet computer companies for help. Instead, they choose to trust a contractor, from God knows where, to managed their ailing website. Heck, even paying for the health care website does not seem too affordable.

Taking everything into consideration, the ObamaCare seems like a really, really bad idea. If you ask me, I think the president keeps insisting on it because it bears his name. I guess he wants to go down history, as the president who gave health care to everyone. Frankly, I doubt that my family would be able to afford health care, even with the promised subsidies.

I know because I read up on the premiums. An infomercial in CNN postulates the cheapness of ObamaCare. However, for a person earning 50,000 they would have to pay 9 percent of their salary to get coverage. Such a claim does not take into consideration the scenario where that single person supports a family of 5, or maybe 10 people. When you add all his family members into the equation, that person might end up wasting 20 or even 30 percent of their salary on health care. At the end of the day, we all may celebrate that at least we have our health, when our bank accounts run dry because of ObamaCare.

Alexandre Cabanel 1823 - 1889 French Academic 5 Stars Worthy Paintings

Cabanel specialized in historical, classical and religious paintings. He also did a few portraits on the side. He made in the Salon. There he exhibited a beautiful Venus painting. Due to his fame, he convinced the judges not to accept any impressionism paintings. In that respect, he truly acted like a jerk. Later in his life, he trained a series of students, whom he made into talented painters. The first painting shows a fallen angel. He has a very evil glare. Heavenly angels fly above him. He still prays to God for forgiveness.  He represents all the bad guys, who still desire forgiveness, even after doing something unforgivable. This handsome devil painting by Cabanel deserves 5 stars rating.

This painting shows Phedre. She cannot sleep due to her desires for her stepson. Her illicit love seems to be making her feel ill. Beside her, sits or rest her maids. The scenery looks pretty realistic. This unrequited love scene by Alexandre Cabanel deserves 5 stars rating.  

In this painting, Ophelia has just fallen from her tree. She broke her back and will soon sink bellow the water. All around her, we see the flowers she liked to gather. She still has the same dreamy expression. Her dress has a lot of cute patterns, as such, this painting draws from the decorative arts. In any case, this Cabanel Hamlet painting deserves 5 stars rating.

This painting shows a Greek maiden in the garden. She has flowers all around. This reclining figure by Cabanel gets 5 stars rating.

This painting shows Venus ridding on top of the waves. While she wakes, little Cupids shower her with flowers. Cabanel submitted this painting to the Salon of Venuses. It made him quite a lot of money. This lovely painting by Cabanel deserves 5 stars rating.

This painting shows the beautiful Cleopatra. She coolly observes the effects of her poisons. A maiden has to be tough to rule without a king. Her attendant too looks very pretty. The entire scenery and the dresses follow the fashion of the day. Cabanel did a lot of research to create this historical painting. This painting about a powerful woman deserves 5 stars rating.

In this painting, God visited the dying Moses. He has his arms stretched, as if readying himself to depart his mortal coil. Two angels support his dying body. On his forehead, there shines two horns of lights. This Old Testament scene deserves 5 stars rating.

This painting shows a lot of women and children around a girl who plays the piano. Two of the maiden in the foreground sport widow habits. This scene takes place within the church. It shows what women used to do when mass did not take place. Everything in this scene looks very pretty. 5 stars for Cabanel's genre painting.

This painting shows the physical manifestation of the poet's inspiration. The maiden embodies love, nature, and beauty. The painting seems to be divided between the real and the imagination. The desk and the bust of the Muse represent the real. The lake, the trees and the rocks represent the poet's imagination. All these things combine help the poet write his poems. This beautiful painting by Cabanel deserves 5 stars rating.

This painting shows the usual nymph and satyr relationship. The satyrs spent all their time chasing the nymphs, while the nymphs spent their running away. Usually, when a satyr caught a nymph she would turn into a tree, a bird or something. Overall, it served as an effort in futility. In any case, this pretty painting by Cabanel deserves 5 stars rating.

This painting shows a paige or a knight's assistant. Here, the boy carries the knight's sword for him. The background makes a lot of emphasize to medieval decorative art. In this respects, this classical painting has elements from art nouveau. In any case, this cute boy painted by Cabanel gets another 5 stars rating.

Every time one sees a chick with a box, one can safely assume she goes by the name of Pandora. In this version, Cabanel pays a lot attention to the decorative details in her blue scarf and her pretty box. This pretty little number gets 5 stars rating.

Above, we see the Femme Fatale, Delilah. She signals Samson's enemies. They must enter quietly in order to give Samson a haircut. On her lap, we see his long tresses. Her dress follows the fashion of the Isrealites of those days. This Biblical painting too gets 5 stars rating.

According to the book of Judges, Jephthah promise God that a human sacrifice if God helped him win the battle. He said he would sacrifice the first person he saw coming out of his house. When he returned victorious from battle, his favorite daughter was the first person who received him. In this scene, Jephthah's daughter walks up the mound to get sacrificed to God. A long  trail of sobbing women follow behind. This depressing Biblical painting by Cabanel gets 5 stars rating.

This painting shows one of the scenes from the Passion of Christ. Even while mocked, Christ still looks divine. The way his clothes got placed makes him look like a Greek philosopher. An interesting detail lies in the fact that Jesus looks idealized, while the rest look mundane. This further enhances his divinity status. In any case, this pretty painting gets 5 stars rating.

This painting shows the seer in mid trance. The people in the background, look tense. They eagerly await his prophecy. The foreground shows a lot of neat decoration. Even this classical painting has art nouveau traits. In any case, this lovely painting deserves 5 stars rating.

This last painting shows two poets. Their gazes focus on the same spot. The neither look at the sky, nor the see. They seem to see something that we do not. Alas, the seem about to touch upon something inspirational to their art. In any case, this lovely painting by Cabanel gets 5 stars rating. I hope that you liked this short painting review.
